Idyllic poet Archibald Grosvenor (Matthew Roehrig) relies on perfection and a childhood friendship to win the love of Patience (Ann Moss).

Aesthetic attitudes
"You hold yourself like this. . ."
Major Murgatroyd (Alan McArdle), Colonel Calverley (Stephen Tanne), and the Duke of Dunstable (James Brower) exchange their uniforms for aesthetic outfits and poses in an attempt to regain the maidens' affections.

The Lady Jane (Mary Jane Schulze) laments the passing of her youthful attractions.

The ushers
The ushers wear aesthetic accessories to enhance the audience experience.
